This fire was on the north side of Banning, CA on Sunset Ave & Fraser St. Fire was fanned by strong east winds and burned around 3000 acres. Pictures

The Fire Potential is expected to be above normal in Southern California in June and July.

Due to the drier then normal winter we have had this year in Southern California, it could mean an early start to the fire season. The fuels are already starting to dry out, where we could start seeing fire’s early by the end of April and the start of May. Link

Red Flag Warning’s go into effect Sunday night through Monday for the local mountains, and Fire Weather Watches posted for the inland valley areas due to northeast winds and low RH’s. Link
